Digital Printmaking and Collage
Nothing is quite like the look and feel of offset press and collage. It's always an interesting mash-up of technology and art. Ink and paper. Everyone from Gutenberg to Man Ray to Warhol to Banksy was right: there IS something fascinating about image reproduction and re-use. Even with each successive print being slightly degraded from the last as the screen wears. Or the re-contextualization of something as simple as a photo from a laundry detergent advertisement. It's entropy and art in the same sandbox.
These images reproduce, mimic, and sometimes contradict the mediums they honor. Ironically (or poetically), these images are then printed using yet another, more modern printing device - a Fine Art, museum quality industrial printer with incredible precision and color reproduction.
