Digital Painting

The sheer flexibility and variety of paint has given it a central place in art. These Editions celebrate that flexibility but with a modern, digital twist.

Some of these pieces have employed algorithmic methods for generating brush strokes. Others have been hand-created but within software applications that mimic specific behaviors of the brush and paint mediums they're emulating.

You'll also see explorations and experimentations within these Editions that do some things that traditional techniques can't easily do - split paint and sketch media in ways that would otherwise be impossible in a physical work. This digital high-wire act creates new opportunities for expression but with the familiarity of the look and feel we've grown to love over the centuries.
